Question Paper ESB B2 December 2011 (mock exam prep.) - Cb., pg. 272, ESB Level 1 B2-Writing (An Informal Letter to an exchange student about attending college to your hometown) (200 words) by Super Course

Dear Mary,

Introduction (Reason for Writing): I'm so glad that you're coming to stay with me and my family for two whole weeks. I'm writing to answer the questions you asked in the letter you sent me.

Para 2 (life in town, what the college is like): First of all, since you're coming in late spring ,it would be advisable to bring light clothes and a jacket. The weather is mild most of the time , but, it can get a bit chilly at nights. As for my college, it's one of the best and oldest in the country , so, you won't be disappointed.  It has excelllent sports facilities ,so, you can play whatever sport you like while you are here.

Para 3 ( activities to do after classes and at the weekend): The town I live in, is one of the busiest in Paros, Paroikia. There are many street cafe's bars and night clubs and as it is by the sea ,various events take place along the pier ,in spring and in summer, too. We can go jogging or for long walks there and gaze at the sunset from the "Mill" ,outside the "Pandrossos Hotel". Another thing we could do is visit the museum , archaeological sites and the "Ekatontapyliani church" that are located in the town itself.

Conclusion (closing remarks): I'm really excited that you're coming. I'm sure you'll love it here and you'll want to come back. I hope you 'll find my letter informative and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Wishes
Vivi
